1. What is our deposit & cancellation policy?

We ask for a 25% deposit at the time of booking. This is refundable until 30 days prior to your arrival. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable.

2. What are check- in and check- out times?

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is 11am. If you arrive before your room is ready we will give you a place to change and we will move your belongings into your room as soon as it becomes ready while you ski. On check-out day we ask that you remove your belongings from the room before 11a.m. We will store your belongings and give you a place to shower and change when you finish skiing.

3. How do I get to and from the airport? Will I need a car?

You won’t need a car for your Snowpine vacation, there is no covered parking and it can snow a lot. We can arrange shuttle service for you to and from the airport in 4 wheel drive vehicles driven by experts. Just email your airline, flight number and arrival time to and we will arrange your ride.

4. What will the weather be like? What should I pack?

It has become harder and harder to predict the weather. It is always a good idea to think in layers, that way you are prepared for any conditions.

5. What time do the lifts open?

The lifts open at 9:15am and most close at 4:30pm. The Cecret and Supreme lifts close at 4pm.

6. How much do lift tickets cost?

Lift tickets cost $89 for your first day and $85 when you reload your pass. There are a wide variety of ticket options,

7. Where can I rent gear?

There are three great ski shops in Alta. All three shops rent skis with latest technology. We will shuttle you to the shop of your choice. At the end of your trip leave the skis at the lodge and we will return them for you.

8. Is there internet access in the lodge?

Yes we have complimentary wireless access throughout the building.

9. Can I send my skis ahead of time?

Yes. Skis can be shipped in advance by UPS or FedEx.

10. What time are meals served?

We serve breakfast between 7:30am and 9am. Dinner is served between 6pm and 9pm. During busy times we may ask you to make a reservation.

11. What about special dietary requests?
We will always make sure that you have delicious options. Please let us know in advance what type of restrictions you have, and what types of special foods you may require. We will do our best to meet your needs.

12. Do you serve alcohol?

We have a progressive wine list and an extensive selection of local microbrews. We carry the basic spirits. If there is something special you would like please let us know in advance.

13. Are there laundry facilities available for guest use?

Yes, we have a coin operated washer and dryer. Detergent is available at the front desk.

14. We have snowboarders in our group, how will they get to Snowbird?

We can shuttle skiers and snowboarders to and from Snowbird. It is only about 5 minutes away.

15. Are pets allowed?

Sorry, no pets allowed. Alta is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon which is a watershed zone for the Salt Lake Valley. There are only a handful of licensed dogs allowed in the canyon.

16. What if I don’t ski, is there anything to do?

The Snowpine Lodge has many cozy areas to snuggle up and read a book or watch a movie. A massage in our spa room is always a great way to spend an afternoon. Snowshoe rentals are available at Alta Sports of the ski shops and there are a variety of trails to explore.

17. Is there child care available at the Lodge?

The Snowpine Lodge does not have a child care service.
We are the closest lodge to the Alta Children’s Center,, a clean and reliable sunny spot for your child to spend some time.
