Getting To The Snowpine Lodge

You Won't Need a Car

We recommend that guests do not bring a car, as parking is limited and Alta's abundant snowfall can make parking inconvenient. We are happy to arrange your transportation from Salt Lake City International Airport. An airport shuttle usually takes about an hour door to door.

If you choose to rent a car, please be aware that Utah law requires vehicles to be equipped with snow tires from November through May. Four-wheel drive is recommended. During severe winter weather, the road to Alta may be restricted to vehicles with four-wheel drive or tire chains. At check in, please ask the Front Desk staff for parking instructions. Parking is in public, on-road, uncovered areas, and town parking regulations are strictly enforced.
