Alta Ski Area opens on Friday, November 20th.
The Snowpine Lodge will open on Thursday, November 19th so you can grab that first chair on opening day!
Whatever your ability, Alta is for you! Alta Ski Area provides the skiing, with access to all you need, including lodging, dining areas, helicopter and backcountry tours and church services. Alta Ski Area is open daily from 9:15 am to 4:30 pm from mid-November to mid-April (conditions permitting). With 7 lifts (2 high-speed quads, 1 high-speed triple, 1 triple and 3 doubles) granting access to over 116 runs covering 2200 acres (890 hectacres), and over 2000 ft of vertical drop (top elev. 10550 ft - bottom elev. 8530), there is sure to be terrain for all levels of ability.
Alta is located just 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, SR 210. It's only 45 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport.
